It was our first time attending a Seattle Public Schools board meeting. We listened to you DEMAND services for your gifted daughter who is LEGALLY ENTITLED to an education that matches her enormous intellect—but, tragically, she isn't receiving that at her public school. Your privileged white child has everything, and yet you demand more. Do you know that there are homeless kids attending the public schools? There are lots of kids who are not learning anywhere near their grade level. I sincerely hope the board does not give a fuck about your complaints. Listening to you, I realized I was no different. I, too, was there to advocate for my kids who have everything they need. I am disgusted with both of us.
