An entitled asshole is an asshole, no need to bring politics into it mix. Both parties are well represented by that measure.

2

@1 if it looks like a duck & quacks like a duck

3

hate the game, don't hate the player.

Agree with #1. Self-entitled, ignorant assholes are not bound by any political allegiances.

A liberal, disabled, vegan, lesbian-of-color is still perfectly capable of being an asshole (and then blaming you for it).

7

next time this individual comes in why not urinate in his horTata?

8

Probably wanted a cortado.

9

You claim to be over age 5, yet cyber-stalk the patrons you dislike.

Regarding the "liberal" issue, I think politics is relevant when it touches on hypocrisy. If you have a 'Family First' republican trying to preserve the sanctity of marriage, his politics are relevant to the fact that he's at the strip club every Friday night until 2 am while his wife and kids are at home. Similarly, if you ID as a 'liberal' but actually treat the people subservient to you like shit, the hypocrisy is relevant.

P.S. the underlying moral to this story, however, is that servers should be paid a decent hourly wage, and not have their salaries based on the whims of whatever douchebag - liberal or conservative - that walks through the door.

@10 wins the thread! Welcome to the Hotel California.........

While I agree with the ilk / message of your post, I anonymous, it still begs the question: Did you actually look at the receipt/cardholder's name and then take that information and do a google search with what most people expect would be private information, not to be used in that way? You feel entitled to mishandle private information because the customer was an ass? Then you, too, my friend, are working under the auspices of a very low bar of character yourself.

Why do people call out "I, Anon" authors for posting their stuff here rather than confronting the people they have beef with directly, when the whole POINT of "I, Anon" is for people to post their beefs here RATHER than confronting the people they have beef with directly? Also, THIS Anon is a waiter-assuming the customer hadn't stormed out before Anon had the chance to say anything else, Anon could have lost their job for confronting the customer in person. Are some of you pissed off because this waiter make himself unemployed in the name of emotional honesty?

15

A tip is voluntary. A server is never entitled to a tip, no matter how great the service or the food. And this waiter being such a dick, 10% was generous.

17

@9 Spite is possibly the biggest motivator around.

18

Well written, succinct, and made me made. A+.

A tip, in our culture, is customary barring something outrageous takes place. If you prefer not to participate in the culture, you're better off not eating at restaurants until a new system catches on.

19

*mad.

20

Why don't you just be gracious about it and stop pouting about annoying customers?

21

Hortata ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!

22

A tip is voluntary like a wedding guest giving a present is voluntary.

23

@4 - Exactly!

24

Whenever the subject of tipping comes up, you always get somebody playing Mr. Pink.
