They’re moochers. Moochers will take and take, and take and never think to say, “thank you” or gawd forbid, reciprocate. It’s one thing for them to not appreciate you but a whole other bag for them to completely ignore you. They may be embarrassed or ashamed but that doesn’t take the sting way. Or they’re just narcissistic…

It's not you; it's them. Move on. If they try to come back into your life, let them know that you remember all you did for them and are proud to have done so in the past. Then, emphasize "the past" and walk away.
