EverOut - Digital Event Support Specialist

EverOut/Bold Type Tickets is looking for a flexible, tech-savvy person to support our growing roster of online events.

As the world of events has moved online, we’re producing, hosting, and selling tickets to more and more online events, mostly via Zoom. These events require real-time support and monitoring to make sure things run smoothly. This position will be part of our Bold Type Tickets support team with special responsibility to be the technical and support host for these kinds of events.

What does that mean? It means when there’s a ticketed online event happening (often in Zoom, sometimes other platforms), you’ll be the one behind the scenes, managing the Zoom event and helping customers via email. This will include dealing with the waiting room, monitoring the event for any “Zoom-bombers” or other issues, and supporting the actual event hosts as needed. You’ll also be keeping an eye on the support inbox before and during the event to assist attendees with any issues. You will not be on-camera or actually involved in the event itself.


  • - technical and customer support for digital events, including Zoom meetings/webinars and livestreams
  • - answering customer inquiries before and during shows
  • - coordinating tech checks with artists/presenters before live shows
  • - making sure the event launches and that attendees are admitted on time
  • - working with Bold Type Tickets team to establish and document best practices around these kinds of events


  • - extremely comfortable with technology
  • - exceptional understanding of Zoom and its functionality
  • - ability to troubleshoot software issues quickly and in real-time
  • - great customer service skills, ability to respond promptly and empathetically to customer inquiries during a live event
  • - high level of organization
  • - ability and willingness to work odd hours (most events are in the evening)

Event examples: Hump Film Festival, Silent Reading Party, live comedy shows, etc.

This is a full-time, hourly position that reports to the Director of Sales and Operations.
