No surprise, older feminists don't always see things the exact same way—or speak in support of things the exact same way—as younger feminists. See, for example, Margaret Atwood, now considered by some to be a "bad feminist."

So it's worth noting that the Notorious Ruth Bader Ginsburg, now 84, is an enthusiastic and largely on-message #MeToo supporter—and really isn't stressing whatever backlash may come:

At the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday, Ginsburg had this to say about the #MeToo movement: "It's about time. For so long women were silent, thinking there was nothing you could do about it, but now the law is on the side of women, or men, who encounter harassment and that's a good thing."

Ginsburg isn't worried that the #MeToo movement might cause a backlash against women. "So far it's been great," she said.

It's worth reading (or watching) the whole thing, including for Ginsburg's own tales of sexual harassment—"How dare you? How dare you do this?" she once said to a university professor who tried something on her—and for her feelings about the Saturday Night Live impression of her (as well as potential high court uses for the term, "Ginsburn").
