At 10am this morning, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis announced a secret show tonight at Neumos, I decided to head down and have a chat with the people waiting. I was directed by a few guys in chairs toward the front of the line and I found a friendly group of five people who had been waiting since 12:30pm seated among the legion of expectant fans. Meet Anthony, Cosmo, Stewart, Kimia, and Shawn:

There were so many names and it was such a big group, I'm not really able to attribute who answered which question. This is also known as messy journalism.

Where are you guys from?
San Diego

What's the important thing to know about waiting in line for a long time?
Bring the music.

What do like most about Macklemore?
(Pause) His music. (laughs)

Is it Macklemore or Mackelmore?

Can you give me an opinion of the state of Seattle hip hop?
Seattle hip hop's good with Macklemore and the Blue Scholars, they know where it's at.

Can you sing a couple bars of "Posse on Broadway?"
I don't know what that is.

"Posse on Broadway" by Sir Mix-a-Lot?
I have no idea what that is.

Can I get your ages?
20, 19, 22, 19, 22.

What is your most embarrassing hobby?
(pause, chewing) Oh shit.

What would you say is a good descriptor of the people waiting here?
They're excited! I don't know!

As I left, security said there were approximately 200 people in line at 3pm. There's still time! Hurry up and get down there! Take a snack. The Heist will be released this Tuesday, I have a feeling this record is going to be a monster.
