Along with Seattle-repping music videographers like Genius Award-winner Zia Mohajerjasbi, and Stephan Gray, Jon "Jon Jon" Augustavo has helped present a professional (moving) picture of the Seattle scene, with an emphasis on hiphop, to the outside world. Though he now stays in California, one could say with much confidence that he's done as much or more than anyone else on this front. To get you up to speed, here are videos he's directed, or help shoot, for J Pinder, Avatar Darko, Blue Scholars, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and the Flavr Blue, to list a few.

Augustavo's recently put together a 22-minute short film called How to Disappear Completely, which stars a young actor named Robert Hardin, and includes a cameo by the aforementioned Darko. Further Seattle tie-ins include an original score by Mack & RL violin master Andrew Joslyn. Over the phone, Augustavo recently told The Stranger he's submitted the recently finished film to a number of film festivals, and hopes to premiere it in Seattle in the near future. In the meantime, check out the official trailer above.
