Fremont Brewery's Urban Beer Garden is a favorite in the city for its spaciousness and for its acceptance of small animals and humans. In addition, they've now added the Black Heron Lounge, a sour taproom that focuses on "small-batch, experimental beers that focus on and highlight local grain, local hops, and local fruit," developed by Fremont Brewing founder and owner Matt Lincecum. It might be worth it to note that you won't really be able to find a substantial snack here--plan ahead and bring your own, or pick up food to go with your beer from any one of the restaurants in the area.
