Mashiko’s sushi is all sustainably harvested, the only place in Seattle that can boast that. The rolls are creative, the atmosphere’s on the upscale side, and owner Hajime has been strictly, lovingly running the place since September of 1994. Mashiko has earned its West-Seattle-and-beyond cult following. You might also enjoy Mashiko’s rules, which include: “#2: Music is chef’s choice,” “#4: Prices are subject to change based on customers attitude,” “#15: Do not be afraid to try something new,” “#19: Trust us, we are professionals,” and “#21: Because Hajime said so.”
