With a successful and well-loved restaurant in Kent already under their belts, brothers-in-law Zana Abdulaziz and Ranj Rebwar have introduced their second location (also named Olive Tree) in the former Sur 16 space on North Capitol Hill. The menu features a heady blend of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Greek cuisine focusing on traditional dishes as well as others you've probably never heard of. Expect to find dolmas, falafel, and gyros alongside lesser-known dishes such as tepsi (an Iraqi eggplant-based casserole) and nisk (a red lentil soup). Another highlight of Olive Tree is the innovative wine-based cocktail menu, featuring beverages such as refreshing vino margaritas.
