“Chungee” means “stupid pig” in Cantonese, but you are not the stupid pig at Chungee’s Drink ’n Eat. Note the possessive: As busy owner Wen Long puts it, “We are so stupid to open a restaurant!” The place has a tiny bar and a Being John Malkovich dining room: the lowest ceiling ever, four tables, red Chinese lanterns, silky pillows. And the Cantonese food is fresh, carefully prepared, and yum-yum (try the Yum Yum Crispy Chicken with translucent fried basil leaves).
