Greg Atkinson—former head chef at Canlis and cookbook author/food writer—at last has a restaurant again, on Bainbridge Island. It’s in a mid-century modern building in downtown Winslow, just a stumble from the ferry, and the market-based, French menu includes foie gras torchon, mussels and frites, country pâté, and applewood-fired steaks and seafood.
