The editing in this film is terrible. It’s also a road movie (a genre that needs to die today—we need walking movies or light-rail rom-coms or lots of bicycle chases). That said, Folk Hero & Funny Guy has a few good jokes and really remarkable performance by Wyatt Russell (the very handsome son of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell). Russell's character easily, if not automatically, brings to mind the lead singer of Fleet Foxes, Robin “And The River Got Frozen” Pecknold. (CHARLES MUDEDE)
