Il Bistro93A Pike St, 682-3049I'm not sure why the hep crowd passes right by this Pike Place Market gem for the more crowded Alibi Room around the corner. But I'm glad they do. This swank yet playful watering hole (attached to the much more staid restaurant) stars a warmly attentive, even kind, wait staff and an always intriguing, even mysterious, crowd of suits at the bar. But most important, at the small but comfy candlelit round wooden tables lightly scattered in a swoop around the bar top, unstoppably foxy people--who don't seem to be from Seattle, but are!--hunker down in luxurious conversations.
