SLEAZY DOES IT: PEACHES, ONONOS

Electro-sleaze chanteuse Peaches is slated to do a DJ set tonight, but there's been chatter indicating that she's going to perform live. Whatever the case, things will likely get XXX-citing in a hurry. Judging from her own raunchily grinding, anal-OG songs, Peaches on the decks will be more of a pussy-poking than chin-stroking experience. Dress accordingly. Local trio Ononos are a welcome whirlwind of synth-punk spite, a gust of queer, post-Suicide/Devo weirdness, in the key of F(uck you). The smart money has them upstaging the headliner. DJ BARLETTA, KIDS AT THE BAR

At Chop Suey tonight, What's Your Muse hosts unabashedly accessible dance music of the KNHC 89.5 FM variety. Toronto's DJ Barletta is the kind of jock who'll nonchalantly mash up Skrillex and Afrojack and remix LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem." Rudimentary 4/4 beats, bright melodies, and cute vocals predominate in Barletta's broad-gestured productions and DJ sets. Oklahoma City duo Kids at the Bar make large-scale, heart-on-sleeve electro-pop that's something like a cross between Tears for Fears at their most bombastic and Justice if they were fed a steady diet of happy-hardcore choons and ecstasy. People of the 21 to 24 demographic: Your skinny jeans are going to be sweatily clinging to your skinny legs and your neon Ray-Bans will be foggy by night's end. DRUM & BASS TUESDAYS: ROLLING AT 160 BPM SINCE 1998

Drum & Bass Tuesdays has been zooming at 160 bpm since November 1998. Last time I went, in late May, it seemed as if time had frozen since the early '00s, musically speaking. I was expecting an overwhelmingly young, male crowd, but the clientele was evenly divided between genders, with many in their 30s. A 40ish white dude wearing a black cowboy hat and shitkickers was more memorable than most of the tracks that got spun. The dominant sonic steez was dark, uptempo, bruising, and fairly psychedelic. Several tracks sounded like mythical beasts being relentlessly attacked by brutal drum machines. I didn't hear any Squarepusher. With the Bassinvaders, Jason Curtis vs. Stylus, and Lunchmoney.
