After reuniting for a seemingly one-off show last summer, beloved crybabycore act Carrisa’s Wierd (who broke up in 2003) are back again—and this time they have new material. Earlier this summer, Hardly Art released the first songs the band has recorded in over seven years, one of which is “Meredith & Iris,” a somber and gorgeous tune that proves the band is still capable of writing a song that will put a lump in your throat. Lyrics are filled will references to secrets, ghosts, and regret, while a cello weeps along with soft, sad harmonies. Bring tissues. With Royal Eyes and Mattheu Canvas.
