The answer portions of this interview seem like they were faxed from Corporate HQ.

@1 if all of capitol hill had knives aimed at my back, I'd be circumspect in my answers as well. all these people did was buy a business - I don't understand the animosity.

I've been meaning to ask this Music question, but didn't know where to put it. This band Sleeter Kinney, I've seen in places they have a comeback album in the works. My question is - their current website, is that a comeback website, or is it the same one? I'm a snob purist you know, I heart the first Pixies album, Murmur by REM is all you need or want from them, Is This It by The Strokes is one of my 5 desert island discs. So I'm hoping to cruise the original Sleeter Kinney website. Any links?

There was a rumor that Starbucks had bought the place and was going to turn it into an easy-listening-adult-contemporary lounge and there was just a "Chop Suey is closing party" so people were angry it had been bought and closed with the expectation that it would be gone. Hence the animosity...

Glad to see the new owners have nothing to do with Starbucks and want to keep the music going.

Cautiously optimistic. I wonder if they plan on fixing all of the RF interference on stage?

@5, If there was one thing I could change about the place, it would be the name.

Everything else I love, and I am very happy they are keeping it a music venue - but I think the name is awful and offensive and I hate it.

Chop Suey is a food, and a music venue. To take offense to it's name is to be pissed about every little fucking thing you see. Go crawl into a hole.

Please wait...
