I stumbled into a bar in Fremont a couple of years ago just as a five or six piece band was setting up. The leader, Michael, was much older than everyone else. As I watched him calmly checking everything and talking quietIy with the other musicians, I turned to my date and said "I don't who that guy is but he's a real pro." I didn't find out until the next day when I did a web search. The reason I wanted to know is because the night before, in that small bar that is now gone, I heard and saw one of the finest musical performances I've ever had the privilege of attending, and one that I will never forget.
