I see a lot of young people sporting, conservatively, $10,000 worth of tattoos. Where does that money come from?

"Dear white people: THIS SONG IS NOT FOR YOU. No one wants to hear a bunch of white girls scream-singing...."

Jesus this is such an antagonistic statement. I get it (or perhaps more accurately, as a white person, I can't get it)... The n-word is simply too loaded a word to ever be uttered from the lips of white folks. I don't necessarily disagree with that statement.

But, at the same time, you can't get upset when the word is sprinkled throughout pop songs, and fans of the songs (not MAGA racists) sing the lyrics. I've noticed a trend of on Twitter, Facebook, etc. of calling out white teens who YouTube themselves singing lyrics that feature the n-word.

While I wouldn't let my kids do it (as noted above), calling them out (just like the author is doing here) is bullshit. You've made it clear just how woke you are. Very impressive. You've added nothing to the conversation (except to expose a young kid to claims of racism when, at least in their head, they're doing nothing more than emulating one of their idols). I hope the likes and retweets give you a nice tingly feeling.

And sorry if I'm coming across as a dick. That said, my problem with this issue comes down to this:

Aside from sex with my wife and hanging with my boys, there's no place I'd rather be than a sweaty club, seeing one of my favorite bands, and belting out their lyrics in unison with a couple hundred strangers. There's no magic like the energy of a live show where all cylinders are firing.

And for a journalist, artist, tweeter, or whomever to come along and say only certain fans of a certain race can partake in that magic?!? Fuck that.

Please wait...
