ha, that's an interesting story about the Shabazz Palaces consignment CDs. you should have sent some over to the W Seattle location sooner! i remember walking in with a copy of Charles' first article about them, and the guy at the counter said he'd look into ordering those first 2 CDs for me

@stinkbug Chase bank came in and wanted that corner location on lower Queen Anne so they threw a bunch of money at it and offered the landlord something like 5x what Easy Street was paying at the time and Easy Street couldn't afford to match the offer so they ended up moving out. They weren't going under or anything, they were profitable at that location, but the bank had way more money to throw around so they bullied them out.

This made me so wistful. There's maybe no other former business in town I miss more than Easy Street Queen Anne.
