The very popular online music critic Anthony Fantano raved about "Ghosts in the Shower" by rising Seattle electronic-music producer and Stranger cover star Chong the Nomad January 9 on his much viewed video blog, The Needle Drop. (I reviewed the über-quirky electro-funk cut "Ghosts in the Shower" on Slog in August 2018.) No matter your opinion of Fantano (he has his detractors), it's a huge break for a relatively obscure musician to get hyped by "the internet's busiest music nerd."

Go to the 20:17 mark in the clip below to hear Fantano gush, "This is fucking AWESOME. There's not a thing about this I don't like. This track literally made my day." He compares the track to the Unicorns and Iglooghost and concludes, "This is cool as fuck." The video has nearly 167,000 views as of this writing, exposure that will surely provide a major boost to Chong the Nomad's career. Congrats, Alda!
