If youâre looking for a cool, music-forward event this weekend, Enby Party has you covered. The non-binary-centric (or âenbyâ fyi) music and art collective is throwing a show and album release party at Cafe Racer this Saturday. The record in question, Enby Party Compilation Vol. 3, features tracks from local bands like âgunk popâ purveyors Black Ends and the sad soft punk of Emma Lee Toyoda, plus Portlandâs Cay Is Okay and Brooklyn-based Marblemouth. The nightâs killer lineup of enby musicians features rapper DaQween, Goners Motorcycle Clubâs twangy tunes, noted crooner Izumi, Vancouverâs SoyJoy, and Compilationâs Toyoda. If youâre feeling spendy, pick up some wares from non-binary artists Sporty Melon (those necklaces!), Theo Chhan (those earrings!), and Kid Lerner and Spur Lowe Gardens (those art prints!). The collective will also accept mutual aid items for Creative Justice NW, so bring âem if you have âem!Â
Enby Party at Cafe Racer goes down on Saturday, July 16. Doors at 7 pm, show at 7:30 pm. Masks and vaccination cards are required. Tickets are available on a sliding scale from $10-$20.Â
