I just simply don't understand people that get attacked and then choose to continue to hang out with the person. Seems to be pretty common in a lot of these cases. Is this guys star power SO bright that you just have to hang out with him and hope he doesn't physically assault you for a second time? It just makes no sense.
If you get bit by a rapid dog, don't reach your hand back in the cage and hope it doesn't happen again. Put the dog down.

This dynamic is especially potent when one's attacker possesses the kind of social capital and presumptive credibility that accrues to (for example) a member of a well-known band.
