No way to avoid the Shabazz now you've gamely cracked the code, Lar. (Or at least given us the pass.) The mighty murk of Champagne Champagne and the glowing heart of They Live!'s new album -- all of this is exciting as hell.
As for SP, I am gulping down this grimesploitation ASAFuckingP. Should have expected things were going to get this hot for 206 in 2010.
Why is Larry Mizell Jr. stuck in the music column ghetto? He's the most thoughtful and eloquent writer on the entire Stranger staff. I know, that's not saying much, but dude's got some skills. I will definitely be copping both SP EPs immediately.
nuff respect to my a alike...shabazz palaces is the truth...creamy spy agent duke togo aka cee know the doodlebug...www.root70lounge.com/doodlebugspecialinterview
Shabazz is exciting to hear and see, I just want him to come with a strong, clear hit or two. So many of his tracks are solid but don't jump out at you unless youve already committed. Every true artist needs and deserves a hit to get paid off his/her art...Are we going to watch him grow and get the attention he deserves or just settle (as we so often do in Seattle)..?
Revisiting this article once again. Great work Lar. No. 16, "A Mess..." blew my mind the first time I heard it. I was listening in headphones. That's a rap hit if I've ever heard one!

wish they had a tour info page or something.
