I can't wait to hear more from this visionary dude. He has renewed my belief that hiphop is a more rapidly evolving musical art form than the commercial evidence shoved to the forefront of the 'rap' scene.

More psuedo-intellectual bullshit from Chuckie. You could give the dumb-fuck a dog's chew toy and he'd write the same thing.

@2 FTW.

you sound like a creationist trying your damnest to get re-born. Is Native American culture in the process of blossoming into something wonderful via walmart/mcdonalds? No, it's being systematically erased along with every other culture. Take a trip to Neah bay and tell me if that culture is healthier than pre-contact. Sure; theres always going to be a portion of your experience that is interpreted as beautiful art; but don't pretend "the man" isn't as corrupt as ever. I suspect a dusting of dormant stockholm syndrome here; as blacks/Africans have historically been dealt the worst hand via globalism.

More pseudo-intellectual crap from Chuckie. He's like a dog humping your leg: "I can read! I can read! Did I tell you I can read! I'm the only one from Zimbabwe who can read!"

More of Chuckie's pseudo-intellectual bullshit. A previous generation suffered through his dick-tator sucking dad's pseudo-economic bullshit. (Just be glad neither of them pretended to be doctors.)"

You got a white hood you wear to work or something?

I loved Mathambo's first (!) album, his version of 'Control' was both excellent and a savvy marketing move. Clearly he's a force to be reckoned with.

To Charles' point about expecting musicians in a globalized world to start sounding alike... I say: Really?

Seems to me that as western musical instruments were moved around the globe locals used them to express their local culture. Viz. Fela. That and people started electrifying their own local instruments. With electronic sampling locals can sample their own sounds... And this way here will always be increasing heterogeneity in the musical (as well as biological-genetic) world(s).

Re: "genetic diversity", yes and no.

Yes, it's true that all that scrambling of genes among different races will create millions of never before seen combinations.

At the same time, we'll see the dilution of the distinct confluences of genes responsible for differences in racial phenotypes. The result of random mixing over generations is an averaging out - our species is regressing to the mean, racially speaking.

So, just as geographically isolated prehistoric tribes tended to have a homogeneous look, so will we, only the boundaries of our isolation will be planetary rather than geographic.

another amazing artist that seattle promoters and live music venues couldn't bother booking last summer. Now SubPop brings up the rear holding the coattails of another artist that's quickly being recognized as more of a gimmick than a musician.

@9: ASSC LOWN is my knuckle tattoo

Oh yeah? Well my knuckle tattoo is ASSC. I lost one of my hands, unfortunately.

Like this dude a lot, reminds me a bit of AR Kane in terms of approach, just anything goes.

Please wait...
