Just watched the doc last night on Netflix and it was pretty awesome. Great sound and great story to go with it!

I just saw Whyte-Out Reunion show at High Dive. Outstanding, and from Seattle but never got the props they deserved. The drummer T-Roy's twin brother Trent Berry is top notch guitarist and a 20-year friend of mine but I had never seen Whyte-Out as they don't play together often.

Stay tuned for video from some SICK BLACK MEN :)

"The Hackneys were this close to getting a $20,000 recording contract. . . "

how close? "this close" is a visual metaphor and without a visual reference i have no idea how close they were.

get an editor. . .

Is it really necessary to keep emphasizing how these guys are black? Oh wait, rock has always been about race because we all know Elvis Presley rocked harder and better than Bo Diddley, Little Richard, Chuck Berry and, uh - forget it.

@3 The original text had it "thisclose" with no space. That was changed, unknown to me.

@5 A black group who sounded like Death was very unusual in the mid '70s, so, yes, it is remarkable.

Please wait...
