Well people, once again, high society has proven the fact that they are one sided. They continually judge us before they even understand or know what actually happened. There are always TWO sides to every story.I was there. Andrews came after both of us. It was self defense and Timmy did seven years for defending me and himself. He is a good friend and all around guy. Skateboarders are no different than the bicyclists around Seattle. In fact, the cyclists are worse. They continually cut people off and then flip off the driver. But they are looked upon as green citizens. Why is skateboarding any different? Society as a whole needs to stop stereotyping and realize that this was an accident and act of self defense. Not some piece of trash, drug using, skateboarder out looking for a fight. This is what happens when there is someone who has money versus a MAN with none. Let he without sin, cast the first stone.

I don't know why I just looked this story up but I too was there, and as the previous commenter states, it was not easy to lay blame on either party. It was obvious to everyone who watched the scene unfold that the friend reacted out of fear for his friend's life; not out of some motivated act of violence. As a witness, I remember thinking that the driver should have stayed in his car. The driver's anger was evident and he did appear to be looking for a fight or to prove he was the tougher of the lot. This whole thing was so awful to watch but what was more disturbing was how other witnesses in the area reacted. A young hipster couple stepped over the convulsing body of the driver and laughed. Disgusting.
