And finally, happy birthday to Courtney Love, the incomparable rock star/rock widow/rock cautionary tale who was born on this day in 1964. Last week I spent a head-spinning few hours watching new footage of Ms. Love. First up was VH1's Behind the Music, an amazingly thorough review featuring the full cooperation of Courtney and leaving viewers with the impression that Love was finally clean and sober and back among the living. Immediately after Behind the Music, I watched Courtney's more recent sit-down interview with FUSE, and was disappointed to learn that not only is Courtney apparently back on all the drugs in the world, she's slowly turning into Debbie Harry. Or Debbie Harry's crazy aunt, who can afford Louboutins. Whatever the case, happy birthday, Courtney, and everybody else, please enjoy this entertaining overview of Love's antics throughout the years (including that amazing time on MTV when she fell forward off a chair and landed on her back. There's a reason she's a star, motherfuckers.)
