Ick. Really, just, "ick." Makes me nausiated.

I remember seeing that article a couple days ago (tho I'm not sure where, I do *not* follow Hilton) and I remember the part where it said the boys had been together for 7 years... since they were 10 or 11? That seemed pretty unlikely.

Did PH's "article" say that they would be celebrating their 7th anniversary on his 18th b-day? Doesn't sound the least bit fishy...nope, not at all.
5
Who is Daric Rawr? Is he famous or something? I have never heard of him. What a shame to make up such a story, ugh! Someone has some serious issues to even think about going there.

This story just does not make sense. http://www.edgechicago.com/index.php?ch=…
7
It doesn't help that the "twitter post" from the victim's mom is 400 characters long, without even a token attempt at saving space.....

"Cheryl Williams also reportedly contacted TruthWinsOut.org to offer corrections to the story. "Dear Friends, and the people who are going to read this," read the message, "My name is Cheryl Williams, i am 45 years old with two children, Torres, and Terrel who recently committed suicide due to bullying."

"I also am not a teen ager, and I am not just Deric Rawr pretending to be someone else."

And this purported suicide note:
"I’m sorry to my immediate loved ones, but I feel suicide is the only way out. I felt coming out, and being happy with Daric, was the best thing I could’ve ever done. But I didn’t think it would lead to my death at an early age. Today, was the record worst day of my life, some kids at school stole some of my stuff that I got from people I really cared about, and that really pushed me over the top, next to being shoved into a wall, and my ribs being broken."

Pure BS.

On a related note, I've been a bit surprised that this isn't being adopted as a campaign issue. Obviously politicians are trying to avoid charges of uncaring, mercantile opportunism, but I think that this SHOULD be an issue, because public policy that enables discrimination against LGBTQetc. persons or even directly enacts such discrimination is partially responsible for these bullying deaths. Candidates' positions on such legislation (DADT, DOMA, sexuality as a protected class under civil rights legislation, etc.) are important; these deaths are the result of a culture that normalizes and enables discrimination against LGBTQetc. folks, and the legislative actions should be directly and explicitly connected to their results. So, here goes: "Family Values" voters and politicians are supporting teen suicide; won't you please think of the children, assholes?

How could a faux suicide have gone on for so long without being discovered? I mean, is there an actual Terrell Williams still walking around? Or was the whole person fabricated? Either way, Daric seems like the school Terrell allegedly attended would have known if a student of their had died - or if news outlets were asking about the death of a student that doesn't exist.

Oh, and the 7-year anniversary of an 18 year old was total BS.

I actually went to Perez Hilton's website to read the story. I feel so dirty. Bleargh.
12
This is disgusting. Sick and stupid.
13
"Rawr"? Seriously? That's how you say "I love you" in dinosaur.
14
omg the excerpt from the note was so cheesy and easily suspicious!

If you Google around for this "Daric Rawr" character, you can tell he's posted numerous fake articles about himself and alleged celebrity. It's obvious: everything written about him, and all the quotes about this story, have dreadful grammar and spelling, which Rawr exhibits on this interview with a blog about HIV:

http://www.hivster.com/?p=1097.

A number of the fake news stories -- posted on BS aggregators and forums -- also mention his "internet antics." So there's your confession, a desperate young kid's desire to be famous. Not to mention the fake suicide note references his name -- conveniently. I'm not sure what's sadder: 1) using a national crisis to advice pseudo-fame, 2) or having so little intelligence that all the fake stories about yourself and alleged boyfriend are riddled with factual errors, inconsistencies, poor English and lack of believability.

Also, someone should look into this scam. His "book," listed on Amazon but published by a amateur book-printing press (they publish anything), is selling for $12.95 -- but it's "out of stock." That's got to be a scam, right? He's just taking people's money! Wow. Just, wow.
