Pot revenues wouldn't be 2billion...That assumes a "fully functioning marijuana market" when there wouldn't be one. Most people would still get their pot through illegal means, and the federal government would be suing the state and possible running raids on state operated marijuana dispensaries. 2 billion dollars in revenue is NOT a realistic number, as admitted in the article itself, and it is dishonest to repeat it as such.

Not adding much to your theory, but much like Paul Ryan being characterized as a boring white guy, another shooting in the CD may be seen as boring black news.
What is it with with people from the former U.S.S.R. doing superhuman (or superdog) feats of strength and daring? Yesterday it was that video Kelly O posted of the dude doing pull ups three hundred feet in the air, or whatever, and today we have this dog.
Well.
Isn't that all that mattered to SLOGocrats.
Previously.

barkour!
I crack myself up.
There is reason to suspect that would be true.
Unlike tobacco or alcohol, where the process is either lengthy or limited by location to produce, pot can be grown in many backyards.

I notice he's not neutered.

SD, there's a difference between unique and stereotypical.
Are they expecting revenues to drop off sharply as the market adjusts after the initial years, or something?
I would be particularly interested in hearing the reason for this language from the person doing the (cough) stenography (cough) reporting.
