Thanks for mentioning "True Romance". May be the only Tony Scott movie I've seen. Another classic Christopher Walken role.

Diana actually had squalls with winds up to 14 knots last night, no mention of jellyfish on the second night. Just check her blog, not NBC News webpage. Glad you are cheering her on, I am too! Also, there is a map showing her progress so far.

I hope she makes it!

Legitimate Rape: I had been taught that in sunday school as a teen (a while ago, but not that long ago).

Wow, Fnarf. Thanks for the link. Fighting ignorance with facts feels like a losing battle a lot of the time, but I'm hopeful that, glacially, we'll move in the right direction. It's all I have.

RIP, Scott McKenzie. I have the single on 45 rpm. I believe the actress McKenzie Phillips was named after him. Papa John Phillips, her father and McKenzie were friends and members of the Jouneymen a folk group of the 50s & early 60s.

And then Romney chooses Ryan for his vice-president candidate.

After Ryan had co-sponsored the "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act" bill.

And the "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act" bill included the concept of "forcible rape".

So it seems that Romney does NOT have a problem with the belief or with laws based upon that belief.
Or with choosing a vice-president candidate who has those same beliefs.

Perhaps Romney finally learned from his comments on Sandra Fluke, i.e. that it's okay to defame her, it's okay to lie and claim that she became sexually active when she was 12 years old, it's okay to lie and claim that she can hardly walk from all the sex she's having, but not to use the specific word "slut".

Not one mention of The Hunger anywhere regarding Tony Scott. It was his first big budget film and it was the coolest vampire flick EVER!

ps, Days of Thunder should really have just been called Top Gun: NASCAR (I hated Tom Cruise back then, too).
