Nice kicker.

Welp.

And hence Washington state Republicans killed their primary chance for winning key elections in 2016. Not that I'm sad about that. I just wish the status quo wasn't an already depressing state of affairs.

Ha, bravo on seizing the word's most perfect 6 foot under joke.

It's a tunnel -- it's supposed to be six feet under (at least).

"...he has concerns that leaving her in the ground could create negative environmental repercussions."

If all we want to do is remove Bertha, we already have a perfectly good tunnel for that - she dug it. The drill could be dissembled piece by piece and carried out of the tunnel, but of course, they'd only do that if they'd given up on it ever working again.

Ask the bill sponsors about supporting transit advocate's ideals.

The love fest ends in a hurry.

#6, I'm not too sure of that. That tunneling head is thick and solid. I wouldn't want to try and dismantle it on site. I'm not sure it could be done (the solid disk likely exceeds the size of the supported tunnel).
Thankfully, we have a hole almost dug to its precise location. We could lift the cutting head out of the hole and dismantle the rest on site.

Excellent, a Republican with an ounce of reason still left in his bones.

Why did Mike Baumgartner, a representative in Spokane, sponsor a bill specifically affecting seattle residents? Why did he?
Then theres this guy Tutor Perini, who is the same guy who sued and won a lawsuit making Massachusetts taxpayers responsible for "Big Dig" cost overruns instead of his company. HES THE SAME COMPANY DIGGING SEATTLES TUNNEL. And getting paid everyday that fat useless bitch is stuck underground with a chipped tooth. Follow the $$$
