Payday lenders should be barred from doing business in this state entirely. They are parasites on the poor, and serve only to drive the poor deeper into poverty. Their owners should be forced to pay 200% interest on their tax bill.

Granted they bail out the persons that need money now, but some people make a habit of it, using them as "banks". Agree with @1, put them out of business.

Agreed - close them down. Poor people are obviously too retarded to make sound decisions on this kind of thing.

Greed exposed. The bipartisan form. Profit over lifting people out of poverty. A sick practice, but good reporting and smart advocacy can be just the right remedy.

Very surprised that Larry Springer supported this bill. He's always been p;retty progressive on most issues.
