I'll take mouthy progressive billionaires over callow state Democrats!

@3 - Yes. Me. I don't think we should be sending weapons to Egyptian military.

A mouthy billionaire ally to the middle class is exactly what we need. I see no reason why the discussion needs to center on the workers. We haven't been listened to so far, why not try letting a billionaire talk to his fellow billionaires and see where that gets us?

Told you it would happen #16in16

And you can kiss your corporate tax exemptions bye bye

Seattle Transit Blog is reporting new high 6% increase for LINK ridership -- but even higher 10% for Sounder!

Too bad the Eastside sold off its rail rights....Heavy Rail (Sounder) is what really gets folk out of their cars...but it has to go from some place...to some place to be relevant (and not just Seahawks games).

The Stranger is out of step with its own geographic community:

Just a block away, the offices of The Stranger have housed such trenchant critics of the Seattle Police Department as former news editor Dominic Holden.

"Yet, the business owners of the neighborhood are voicing a central need — more cops. The letter argues:

“Pike/Pine desperately needs continued help from the Narcotics and Gang units, cops on a regular beat throughout the week and not just Friday and Saturday nights, and social service outreach to the various street people living on the sidewalks, in doorways and in Cal Anderson Park.”"

Yeah, I'm really confused about why it's so terrible for workers to have someone like Nick Hanauer advocating for their cause. He's someone that tons of "Serious Adults In The Room (tm)" cannot dismiss easily because he's a Captain of Industry, and he has the means and desire to make real and positive change.

Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with you?

We've resumed selling arms and spare parts to the Egyptian military because of little heard of group of terrorists in the region called ISIS. Maybe you've heard of them?

Like it or not Egyptian Junta has us over a barrel. Egypt is one of the few Arab states in the region that have been willing to directly, and successfully, deal with ISIS. The Egyptian military, what ever else it might be, is a very competent institution.

So I've come up with this website where you put all of your uncensored thoughts onto a permanent, public record. There is a decent chance that something you thought years ago could ruin your reputation today. There are no benefits to you. Ready to sign up?

I have the same feelings toward twitter users as tobacco smokers. Why would you do that to yourself? I know it is hard but you should quit, for your own good.

@13, The motivation is sort of irrelevant. The information in the piece stands or falls on its own merit regardless of the motivation of the writer or their publication. I realize the motivation of the speaker or writer is sort of a central or beginning point of analysis in our increasingly post-modern culture, but it deserves to be rejected.

I hope Alibaba and Amazon LITERALLY fight each other. In the streets. Mano a mano. Tech worker vs tech worker, with the only weapons allowed being found in their respective offices (& no hand guns).

I figure it could take a couple weeks for the dust to finally settle, but rents would drop significantly afterwards.

Also I heard some billionaires who AREN'T EVEN GAY have been going around backing gay rights. Let's put up a sign on the clubhouse door to keep them out, too!

@15 troll in Georgetown is just trolling.
