"Port continues business as usual." Exactly. These "activist" efforts are misplaced and misguided. And 100% ineffective, unless you count Greenpeace fundraising.

I continue to support Shell and their courageous attempts to bring energy independence to North America. They are a cutting edge energy company who are doing great work to bring Hydrogen to the pump to power fuel cell cars. I get a great discount at Shell when I use my Fred Meyer Rewards card!

Oil companies are becoming gas companies to clean the air and reduce global warming!

Where has greenpeace been? Haven't heard from them fools since their "boarding party" publicity stunt on the Polar Explorer. They know they can't do anything about anything. That's why they aren't here.

Greenpeace has a restraining order from the shell fleet so they're probably keeping their logo off all the stuff the activists are doing under other names.

When the rigs leave Seattle on their journey to Alaska, nothing will have changed, the public opinion of the protestors will be in the toilet and the protestors can go back to driving around in their cars, using oil products and hopefully wondering what they did all summer was worth the effort.

Lots of snark here, but no solutions to the actual reason folks are protesting now - the ongoing endangerment of people, our economy, and the environment we live in and rely on due to rapid climate change. Anyone here wanna help be part of the solution rather than take cheap shots at people who are living their values? If not, please find a more productive way to vent your cynical frustration. If so, join the movement here: https://shellno.org/.
