Why is the city bound and determined to destroy rail/bus redundancy? This dooms the transportation infrastructure every time there is a minor issue. If light rail hits a car (pretty much always the car's fault), you need those bus lines already in place to immediately reroute those passengers. Busses and light rail do not compete. The are synergistic in nature. The city seems blissfully ignorant of this simple fact.

I'm still irked that the Sisleys got off so easy. I would have like to have seen them driven into bankruptcy. They are really horrible people.

Hopefully Karma will have the final say.

It's too bad that affordable housing lost out with that stretch of land along 65th Ave. But even a park is a huge improvement over what was there.

Should have built 40-100 story mixed income residential towers around the mini park. That would work.

Metro is running two extra buses after the meeting that will run the 30/74 route, and extending the runs before the meeting closer to the best park entrance.

raise the rent. people move out. then sell building for condos. then no one has to pay anyone for moving expense. as building is empty when apply for demo and building permit. nice loophole. or, just shut down building for "rehab", everyone move out. owner then sell. nice loop hole. like condos in first hill. they do that and city cant do anything. i knoe people who live in building where that happen.
