Smart move Tim Burgess council. When I buy something on Amazon I don't read the reviews, I pay someone make me a review. It only makes sense.

Fiscal responsibility: a favored tool of corporatists. Fuck your fiscal responsibility.

We must PAY criminals NOT to commit crimes.
Say if a bankrobber gets away with $50,000, we could save the hastle (and.quite possibly, lives)
if we just payed him BEFORE he commits the crime. Its these progressive ideas that are sorely lacking in politics. Ive worked hard for my millions and NEVER got time off. Obviously, you should hire a nanny. 3 steps forward, 1 step back, then another step back, then 4 steps sideways, then 3 steps forward and there you go. Want any of my money? I have a list ready.

@1 and @2 - paid parental leave is not vacation time that subsidizes a "lifestyle choice." It's for the care of new kids. You might never have any, but you certainly were one once.

One of the "gems" hidden in this budget is $250k to come up with a "strategy" for public WiFi in Seattle. Because the city won't be providing wired broadband, there's at least a chance they will expand their current offerings of Internet access from libraries, community centers, and the smattering of government buildings to something more effective.

That $250,000 study is a tiny bone Bruce Harrell & his cronies who pretended in their campaign to support muni broadband are to rowing to the constituents they betrayed in their classic bait and switch manoeuver.
