Poor little Murray. He just wants to be loved. And not have Mike O'Brien beat him in a general election.

we need the UN or the Red Cross to set up Refugee Camps for 3000. Huge tent cities, not just a lot here and there. where to put them is the problem.

not really ready to give up every public park for the cause. the north parking lot of Century Link? is there an unused terminal at the Port? trying to think of other large open spaces.... that aren't The Jungle.

KISS MY EYES. EVERYONE KISS MY EYES. NO HOMELESS.

Dude, mayor man, don't break up the party.

Ed Murray is (was) a competent and well respected politician but we are rapidly learning that he has no executive skills whatsoever. I suspect that he will want to finish his term but regardless of ones politics, the city would be much better off with a mayor who can manage.

Ed needs a hug.

Really.

@Seattle center would probably do.

It is a bit unrealistic to expect one Mayor (in a very conservative country) to solve a problem that literally no other society in history has really gotten a handle on isn't it?

I live on the east coast, I do not care about Murray or whoever else was in the run for mayor of Seattle, but it seems like he is getting a lot of unfair criticism for not solving the problem of homelessness in one term.

yep..just throw money at it and never hold the homeless accountable or responsible for anything, that sounds like a sure winner. Think about how you would treat your kids if they acted irresponsible. would you just give in and make them comfortable , or would you hold them accountable for their actions? my guess is that if you just want them to be comfortable, they will be the homeless of the future.

Please wait...
