If we really want to protect bathroom users from sexual assault, we should be strictly limiting where religious clergy and conservative politicians are allowed to pee.

What would happen if the headline read "Straight Men Fight to get Transgender Girls out of their locker rooms". Sounds to me like liberal men have an issue showering with transgender girls. What are they afraid of?

or how about this headline" Straight men of the GOP say transgender men are welcome in their showers".

I think what people have an issue with isn't transgender people at all. The issue is the straight guy pervert that would use the law. It is the straight pervert people are afraid of.

I like to call that the "Huckebee" excuse. What's weird about that logic is that the law would require (some) men to have to use the women's restroom, thus giving cover to the Huckebees (straight male perverts) who want to perve on women when they're peeing and pooping. The law does exactly the opposite of what they say it's written for. It presumes, among other things, that gender-identity is just a "feeling" (or worse, just an "act"), that trans-women are perverts and violent, and that trans-women are necessarily attracted to women or girls.

@6, I thought he wasn't passing that well yet either. But protection is needed for transitioning trans people probably MORE than the Buck Angels of the world, who would pass any superficial "inspection" by the bathroom monitor to a men's room (there's going to be bathroom bouncers, right?... Otherwise, what's the point?).

Please wait...
