Let's not forget Kristin Armstrong, whose historic three-peat in the cycling time trial was lauded by USA Today as an opportunity to remind the world that she is NOT Lance's wife! For real! Oh, and I'm so glad to know what her husband's name *really* is. And what her five-year-old son thought of it all. 🙄

NBC stuck a camera in Manuel's face right after she climbed out of the pool and asked her how it felt to be black and what did this mean for blacks. Poor gal, asked to speak for her "race" while she's still gulping down oxygen. Just let her be happy!

They only used 89 (by my count) out of their maximum 140 characters for this Twitter post. It definitely seems like they could have spent the extra ten seconds to punch in her name, or why her win was significant.

I'm glad to see the douchebag 'journalists' and other media-idiots getting called out for their stupidity. But it's hardly new. The American newscasters covering the Olympics all seemed to have been recruited from the most ignorant, stupid, and insensitive barrel of humanity.
