the homeless do a pretty good job trashing their own (and other's) belongings, too. maybe you could take a gander at the pike st. express lane ramp - where the buses go in and out of the tunnel.

@2 or the encampment off Rainier under I-90... what to do? there is huge pile of trash spllling onto Rainier. What we're doing now is not working and getting worse!
@4: If you don't pay property taxes (directly or indirectly through rent), you don't have access to convenient and regular curbside garbage service. There are plenty of options besides "toss it behind your tent" like hump your shit to a regularly emptied public receptacle in a park or something.
Wouldn't this task force better be organized as a demonstration of how the new Seattle Engagement Platform for neighborhoods will work effectively? Doesn't the homeless problem affect both homeowners and renters, young and old, equally?
The advocates propose we keep them in the little hamster pen under the freeway indefinitely and stop scooping out the soiled bedding because there might be valuable stuff mixed in there?
