Damn, i miss this man's rants. if NBC wanted to recover from Matt Lauer, or CNN from Corey Lewandowski, all they'd have to do is fire them, give their salary to Olbermann with a hour slot to rant freely, (if they're chicken-shit a large legal disclaimer could scroll on the "lower third"). oh how the popcorn would flow. Dr Savage please consider mentioning this to Maddow the next time you're waiting in commercial.

olbermann isn't to my tastes

Olbermann isn't exactly to my taste either. That said... I'll give it to him, he did a pretty good job with this list.

Hillary, btw, needs to do a greatest-hits version of this same thing (maybe about 5 minutes), make it funny, and put it out on the web to go viral.

Olbermann is totally to my taste. I miss him a lot. He's a million times better than Chris "Tweety" Matthews.

I appreciate 98% of this rant, but Olberman goes a little overboard here and there. Trump is demonstrably repugnant for a myriad of reasons, but to deem him "demonic" is indulging in the same sort of rhetoric his idiot supporters (or Fox) engage in against Hillary or liberals in general. Olberman's tendency toward this sort of hyperbole is what made me hedge my support of him when he was still on MSNBC.

Once he got to the "allied himself with" bits, there were also a handful that were a bit of a reach. For instance, you can't say he's "allied himself" with his bigoted supporters. It's more accurate to say they allied themselves with the Donald. "Who has allied himself with his own son..." Well, yeah, of course. The point was that his son follows a bunch of white supremacist Twitter accounts, but it was a poor way to include this tidbit.

Perfect. Absofuckinglutely perfect.

God damn you, television networks! Hire this man! If you're going to cover the invective-filled shitshow that is Donald Trump with a straight face and interminable coverage, there is absolutely no reason to avoid Olbermann. Whatever complaint you may have ever had about him being perhaps a little too hard-edged and uncivil has been totally "trumped" in this election cycle. You've voluntarily lowered your own claimed civility level far below anything Keith Olbermann has ever represented. It's time.

Oompa, loompa, doompety-doo,
I’ve got another puzzle for you.
Oompa Loompa doompety-dee,
If you are wise, you’ll listen to me.

What do you get when you lie all day long?
Singing and braying that same old dumb song?
Blaming Islam and Mexico too,
What do you think will come of you?
The news can’t get enough of it!

What do you get when you shout on TV?
Free screen time, but an IQ of three,
Who is to blame for this campaign zoo?
Perhaps it is every one___of___you…
You let the joke go way too long!

Oompa Loompa doompety-da,
If you keep spewing, you will go far,
You may get the White House too!
Oompa-loompa-doompety-doo!

I don't know how to write to Keith or if we can comment at GQ, so I'll put it here:

He left out Trump's first foray abroad as the nominee, standing at his golf course in Scotland, cheering the passage of Brexit in Scotland, which voted overwhelmingly against it, and cheering the collapse of the British Pound, again, in Scotland which had just lost a bunch of purchasing power, because he personally might make more money from it.

Tone deaf? Stupid? Callous? Or so self-centered he can't imagine anything beyond the tip of his nose?

@7 - I'm not usually one for extended song parodies, but that was a good job, sir. The meter is just about exactly right.

Folks are determined to vote for Trump because Hillary is such a deplorable person, let alone candidate for President, that they would literally vote for ANYONE who was not Hillary.
So blame the Democraps for making Trump's candidacy a success.
If Biden were the nominee this would be a totally different race.
11
@10, again, blame anyone but yourselves.

This may have been revealed after Olbermann's research, but I find it galling that Trump bragged about his building now being the tallest in lower Manhattan (days after?) the Towers fell. And this was in answer to a question about whether the residents of his buildings were OK.
12
@10

Is this little nugget your copy pasta for the day? This is the second time I've seen it today. It's totally false, by the way.

The people voting for Trump LOVE him because he is a loud mouth bigot that will say anything to get elected.

The 'never Hillary' types are mostly going for Johnson or Stein, because most of them are also 'never Trump' as well.

You may want to use Hillary's negatives to justify your support for Trump, but we both know you support him because he is a racist, homophobic, zenaphobic troll; just like you.

Your not fooling anyone.

@5. Trump demonizes others so doesn't that qualify him as demonic? He has released a God almighty force of crazed and ugly people who talk of bloodshed if he wins or doesn't win. Sounds like a demon to me.
14
@7: You left out a "doompa" towards the end, but it's bretty gud/10 overall.
15
@11 Poor, innocent, naĂŻve Sandiai... So willing to extend the benefit of the doubt.

Trump bragged about his building becoming the tallest in lower Manhattan the same day. Mere hours after the Twin Towers fell.
16
@15 When you errect an intellectual ghetto around yourself you believe anything.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcKlPhFI…

Bragging? More Like Lamenting, but keep it up... You want to follow the Real Evil in the world, Listen to him talk about Silverstein the guy who bought the WTC 1 weeks before the Terrorist attack and he took out a fat Terrorist insurance policy on it too.
18
@17 - I think he's a demonic. And I think you might be a moronic.

Maybe I should go get a colonic.

Please wait...
