I've heard 2 different reports of tacks on 2 different mountain bike parks in the last month. 1 from a friend riding St Edwards park up in Kirkland, and 1 posted to the facebook group for the Duthie Hill Park in Issaquah, with multiple witnesses and folks commenting who had helped remove the tacks.
Seeing as scattering tacks are the preferred method of sabotaging bike lanes in cities across the country it is fair to assume some 'deplorable' is scattering them. https://www.google.com/#q=Tacks+scattere…
In the age of video surveillance, might there be some evidence of the saboteur somewhere? Perhaps from SDOT or some of the businesses along Westlake?
I'm sure that giving bikers flat tires registers doenn't register high on the police radar, but said flat tires could result in a bad accident. This is malicious and potentially dangerous.
Jesus, what a tortured sentence above. I wish I could blame it on lack of caffeine, but instead I will just admit that I didn't proofread and bemoan the lack of an edit function.
This is a pretty low tactic. But our revenge comes from flying past bored, fat, ugly car drivers stuck in traffic who wonder why they're so miserable and their blood pressure is so high. War on cars motherfuckers.
Considering some asshole in an oversized truck just ran over and killed a bicyclist in northgate yesterday and all the cops did was take down his name and let him drive home and hose the blood off it really does seem like the city has it out for cyclists.

Many Seattle cyclists are entitled assholes. Just sayin.

You say that almost like there's some kind of problem with it.
