Medicaid is not insurance.
If Inslee is buttsore that the Federal government is cutting back on a welfare give-away program let him tax his state and come up with his own give-away.
@5...Um...almost the entire article IS the key; the map lists the congressional districts which are helpfully enumerated, with the representative from each district's contact info, in the body of the article.
I think it's stupid and wrong to call the AHCA Trumpcare.
Trumpcare is more properly the flimflam Trump peddled on the campaign trail, which can be boiled down to 6 promises: “insurance for everybody”, "no cuts to Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid”, "no one will lose coverage", "nobody will be worse off financially", "get rid of the artificial lines around the states", and "everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now.” Sure loosing the strong protection that Washington state offers would be bad, but legislation that actually delivered on these promises wouldn't be devastating.
The AHCA is more like "Koch & Die" or "Don'tCare" and unlike Trump, represents years of a line of Republican thought, stripping away the social safety-net. This bill is clearly the child of the the zombie-eyed granny starver from the state of Wisconsin, and Trump is less likely to recognize any of its provisions than he is Tiffany.
@6 lol wut? There is no indication what differences the colors are supposed to depict. % of votes for Trump in each district? % of district population that will lose coverage? % of Trump voters on Medicare in each district? There's no way to know, because there is no key.
@1: Like Medicare, Social Security, and VA benefits to all who have served, Medicaid is a much-needed safety net, NOT a "giveaway". Trumpcare, on the other hand, IS EXACTLY a giveaway---to the insanely rich who DON'T NEED IT!! Your level of Trumpzilla apologist ignorance is abysmally pathetic. If you voted for ACA repeal, wait until you die in the ER with no coverage.
I'm with @2, @4, @5, & @9. What does the shading represent? A key would be helpful. Does it mean that the darkest state region, District #1 (represented by Congress Member Suzan DelBene) is among the most hurt by Trumpzilla's Don'tCare replacement for ACA?
