We Now Know Who Ed Murray's Accuser, D.H., Is: The Kent man previously known only as D.H. has revealed that his name is Delvonn Heckard, the Seattle Times' Lewis Kamb reports. Heckard says Murray raped him and paid him $10 to $20 for sex multiple times in the 1980s while he was a teenager and Murray was in his 30s. Murray denies the allegations. "We have been sitting back mystified," Heckard's attorney, Lincoln Beauregard, wrote in a letter to Murray's lawyer, "that Mayor Murray opted to hold press conferences, sit for television interviews, and have his genitals examined while denying any knowledge as to our client without bothering to inquire of his identity... Mr. Heckard doubts Mr. Murray ever knew his last name. However, Mr. Heckard does expect Mr. Murray to recall 'Delvon' from the Capitol Hill days." In an interview with the Times, Heckard says, “Once people hear me talk, they’ll be able to feel my spirit, and they’ll have no doubts that what I’m saying is true. I mean, you know when someone is bullshittin’ you, right? Well I ain’t bullshittin’ nobody.” This morning, Beauregard again refused to make his client available for an interview with The Stranger, calling my reporting "impulsive garbage."

Mayoral Candidates Make Their Pitches: Last night, Mayor Ed Murray, former mayor Mike McGinn, and lawyer/teacher/Black Lives Matter activist Nikkita Oliver each gave a two-minute pitch at a meeting of the 43rd District Democrats. Oliver blamed "the Democrats that we've had in power"—McGinn and then Murray—for the city's current challenges with housing affordability and displacement. Murray, who is facing allegations that he sexually abused teen boys in the 1980s, left after delivering his remarks. Watch the candidates' full remarks in the video here, starting at the 32:50 mark. Later, the 43rd LD Democrats voted on whether to change their bylaws to allow them to endorse non-Democrats—Oliver and city council candidate Jon Grant are not running as Democrats—but that effort failed.

Democrats Didn't #FlipThe6th in Georgia but They Still Could: Democrat Jon Ossoff won national attention for his bid to beat a Republican in Georgia's red 6th District but he didn't win last night's election. Instead, with 48.3 percent of the vote as of 1:30 am, Ossoff looked headed to a June runoff against Republican Karen Handel, the New York Times reports. The Times: "A documentary filmmaker and former congressional staff member, Mr. Ossoff, 30, had hoped to avert a runoff in the Sixth District, a Republican-dominated section of the Atlanta suburbs that had been represented by Tom Price, who is now Mr. Trump’s health and human services secretary. But despite his financial advantage — Mr. Ossoff had raised $8.3 million, more than quadruple that of the next closest candidate — and a highly energized liberal base, a majority was just out of reach in a district that has not sent a Democrat to Congress since the Carter administration."

First DREAMer Deported Under Trump: Juan Manuel Montes is 23, has been in the country since he was 9, and is part of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Montes was out with his girlfriend in Calexico, Calif., on February 17, when a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer approached him. "Montes had left his wallet in a friend's car, so he couldn't produce his ID or proof of his DACA status and was told by agents he couldn't retrieve them," USA Today reports. "Within three hours, he was back in Mexico, becoming the first undocumented immigrant with active DACA status deported by the Trump administration's stepped-up deportation policy.
