Trump Isn't Letting Up on James Comey, But He's Also Digging Himself into a Deeper Hole: Today, President Trump warned the news media he might cancel all future White House briefings, then threatened the former FBI director against leaking "anything negative" about him. At 5:07 a.m.:
...Maybe the best thing to do would be to cancel all future "press briefings" and hand out written responses for the sake of accuracy???

Then, at 5:26 a.m.:
James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!

His wee-hour angst was spurred by all the reports that focused on the contradictory reasons behind his decision to fire Comey, which is way suspicious because of the FBI's current investigation of the ties between Trump’s associates and Russia.
Yes, Comey Was Fired This Week, but the Resignation of US Census Bureau Director John H. Thompson Is a Way Bigger Deal: The Census Bureau is already underfunded, and new budget cuts under Trump would "slash the bureau’s budget well below what he felt he needed." In sum, this could mean that because of not collecting the right type of data in certain parts of the country, the government could make important decisions with less (vital) information.
Are We Facing a Constitutional Crisis? Dan Savage, Rich Smith, and Eli Sanders discuss the firing of Comey and their ideas of what could come of it in this week's Blabbermouth podcast.
The Man Who's Accused of Pointing a Gun at a Pedestrian in a Road Rage Incident Is Being Charged: On Wednesday, a man allegedly pulled a gun on two pedestrians after yelling a homophobic slur in their direction. One of the victims took a photo of the man and his license plate number, which enabled SPD to find him rather quickly. The 25-year-old alleged trigger man was carrying a BB gun, according to Seattle police, who say the Tacoma resident brought it along on his trip into the city because he was concerned about being robbed. He was charged on Thursday with felony harassment.
