Five men have publicly accused Murray of abusing them when they were teenagers. City of Seattle

Following a fifth allegation that he sexually abused teenagers decades ago, Mayor Ed Murray will resign tomorrow at 5 pm. His announcement comes after the Seattle Times published sexual abuse accusations against the mayor from Murray's cousin, Joseph Dyer.

The four other men who have accused Murray of sexually abusing them when they were teenagers are Delvonn Heckard, Jeff Simpson, Lloyd Anderson and Maurice Jones.

We'll publish their reactions to Murray's plan to resign as we hear them.

Lloyd Anderson, who claims Murray abused him in Portland in the early 80's, through his lawyer:

I feel victory, but saddened that it required another victim to come forward for him to resign. I wonder how many other victims are out there.

Joseph Dyer, cousin of Mayor Murray, who came forward with his allegations in a Seattle Times story today, spoke with us via phone. Our questions are in italics (comments have been edited for length and clarity):

I'm obviously glad that he's leaving office. I don't understand how he could have gotten into office to begin with. Especially since our sister state of Oregon found that he had abused a foster care child put in his custody, and that he should never have another one. I don't know how he could say he's not a molester. The state of Oregon has said so.

I was watching interviews, I watched a lot of videos, and there was a councilwoman there, she mentioned that we had to give him the benefit of the doubt for moral turpitude. I looked that word up and I would like to know if she even knows if that word means, because apparently she doesn't. That Oregon report shows his moral turpitude. And the other gentleman on the council that said he needs his fair day in court—I agree with that. Everyone deserves their moment in court. But impeachment is not a law, it's political. If he has more than a reasonable doubt of moral turpitude, as the other council member liked to say, they should have investigated him, and whatever their findings are, impeach or not impeach. I don't care who comes to office after him. I don't care who comes to council after him. As I explained to several people, I have no political bent towards Seattle, but those people were lazy in doing their jobs.

What should citizens of Seattle take away from this—from the council members who refused to do anything?

That's on the people themselves, because they voted these people in. What they really need to do is educate themselves better. And that goes for anybody. We've become so intellectually lazy when it comes to finding out and being political.

What are your next steps?

Finishing my nursing school and live my life. That's my game plan. That's what I plan on doing. My wife and I have our ideas and our plans, and we're just going to go and implement them, and live our life.

"I couldn't believe it. I was like, you know what? God is good," Jeff Simpson, Murray's first accuser and former foster son, told Lewis Kamb of the Seattle Times . He continued:

Delvonn Heckard, whose since-dropped civil lawsuit against Murray in April, brought the sex abuse allegations against the mayor to light:

This is a developing story, and this post will be updated.
