Exactly That is the big story. Durkan thinks she scored a direct hit getting Moon to say clearly that she won't push people around from one camp to another without actually having any place for them to go. In contrast, Durkan will do exactly that, with a lot of handwaving about kind of trying to get them into shelter, but if we can't, well, sweep them out anyway. Lot of votes to be had right there.

This is what Durkan needs to get out the Republican vote and put her over the top: she's the only candidate committed to shoving people out of parks and underpasses whether there is shelter for them or not. Sweep them out of one park, to go camp in some other park, then push them out of that one. It's a self-licking ice cream cone; that's the old saying they used in the cold war, or in the Vietnam war. About 20%, at least, of Seattle is feverishly excited to see this happen.

Moon could have dodged this question in the hopes of confusing some voters, but she has this habit of giving clear, unequivocal answers. Such a nerd. She tells you where she stands. She just blurts it out.

Report something meaningful, which "almost 60 year old's most recent concert going experience was the Eagles from last weekend" is most certainly not. I thought Moon won the debate based on depth and detail and thoughtful policy. Report that. Tell us what the differences between the candidates were, or about the annoying protesters, or about what the actual views regarding the arts and the environment were since that was supposedly the focus of the forum.
