Is the photo intended to illustrate the income disparity between the dog and the woman? I'm glad someone is finally waking up to the shameful lack of good jobs for pets in this town.

That lady in Cincy is going to get death threats for that LTE. probably from my Trumpist Aunt.

I am not offended by the sausage roll. I am also not offended by the "gay hands" on the Starbucks Xmas cup.

I am however pretty damn offended by Roy Moore's denials, by everything the goddamn not-my-president tweets, and by every goddamn element of that tax bill.

This is the most Charles Mudede morning news that Sydney Brownstone has ever written.

Goddamned !@#$ing RepubliKKKans! ITMFA NOW, and the more RepubliKKKans who suffer financially, bloodily, and nastily, the better. Being subject to a firing squad is too good for these inhuman shitwipes.

"Is this what 'market urbanism' gets us"

wait, sydney, are you saying your ideal city would - what? ban people who make over a certain amount from the city? mandate wage caps?

i honestly have no idea what an analysis of household income has to do with urbanism.

I can't determine if how much of a capital gains tax cut people will get in the "middle income" brackets in the proposed Senate and House bills.

Presinazi Rapist did succeed in exploiting RepubliKKKans' racism, insanity, and fascism cravings to get himself installed in office by the (s)Electoral College after losing the popular vote by -3,000,000 ballots.

Now here comes the billion dollar payoff from their tax bill, which guts the working classes and anyone who tries to get ahead through graduate education, while adding over a trillion and a half dollars to the national debt.

At least the charade is over when it comes to the GOP's plans to rape our country and kill us.

“One out of every three Tdumbp voters is just as stupid as the other two.”

Help me understand more about repeal of the individual mandate leading to higher taxes on low-income people? It looks like the analysis is saying people would make a financial error and pay additional net taxes they don't have to.

The NYT article says "The projections assume that repeal of the so-called individual mandate would result in many lower-income Americans choosing not to buy insurance, and thus not claim tax subsidies that help them defray the costs of health coverage. As a result, their total tax liability would rise."

Which sounds like they could continue buying health insurance and receiving subsidies if they choose. But they are, depending on how accurately they do the financial math, deciding they get more net benefit from dropping insurance.

To be clear, dropping the mandate fucks these people by fucking the insurance market, that's the point it, and that's very bad. But the direct tax implications may not be our strongest argument.

The only offensive thing about that sausage jesus is that it isn't in my mouth!

Anybody have favorite infographics showing how the bill shovels money to the rich?

This is a nice snapshot, but it actually gets worse after 2018:

It is terrible that so much public debate goes to whether Joe Middle loses a little or gains a little and people don't notice that the huge money dump to the rich means deficits that Joe Middle's children will end up paying.

@1 -- I too am amazed that a Navy pilot skywriting an enormous penis over the town of Omak didn't make the cut for The Morning News. WTF?! @failing Liberal Media. Sad!

@17

Indeed.

Someone in the comments of that link posted a picture of The Cat in the Hat, which plausibly could be what was in the sky.

Free market urbanism? wtf is that? LOL

House Passes Giant Tax Cut for Corporations Bill
Well, we elected a walking corporation as President, what did people expect? "Workers' Rights" or something?

@3 - Those damn unemployed pets! Always getting free ride on the backs of hardworking Americans. Back to the kennel!

Sydney, it is not my intention to be rude, but there is not a free market in housing in Seattle or anywhere else in the state of Washington.. It is highly regulated and at least 25% of what people pay is for regulations.

Please wait...
