This is one of the things I'm very proud of our state for fighting. Keep up the good work, Inslee and Franz - this is worth the battle. Coal is an enemy to mankind.

And this isn't just about a little pollution. Coal was found to shorten lifespans in China by 5 years. We should have coal executives in jail, not protecting them with federal legislation.
2
Fuck Lighthouse Resources Inc., fuck the entire coal industry and while I'm at it, fuck Trump and every goddamn Republican out there.
3
Fuckin' corporations, when they can't win with bribery (some call it lobbying) they force states to use their resources to defend themselves in endless court battles. Can we just sue them for anti-american antagonism?

"Itā€™s no secret that Washington state officials are philosophically opposed to coal,ā€

of course, burning the environmentally worst fossil fuel on the planet, filling in 24 acres of wetlands, dredging 41 acres of the Columbia River and adding 16 mile-long coal trains per day through Cowlitz County is a matter of philosophy rather than choosing a model for development.

"The lawsuit noted that Hilary Franz also mentioned that she opposed coal and oil exports in her campaign for Commissioner of Public Lands."

Pretty naked attempt by Lighthouse to prevent the democratic will of voters. I am not sure this is such a good idea for them to point out that these elected officials have mandates from the electorate.

People need to not be so blind. Lighthouse does have a fair chance at winning. I'm not saying that they will. But, the legal points they raise are valid. Whether you like them or not.
6
It's no secret that environmental regulations are fundamentally a problem for the dirty fossil fuels industry...
7
@ 5 you earned your JD where ? You passed which state bar exam ? You're licensed to practice law in which state ? lol.
8
@7 You sooo funny. Well Dad, what do you think of their argument. I forgot. You cant read the lawsuit because it's full of words with more than 5 letters each.

Maybe, just maybe you can get Mom to read it to you after she blows me. Then tell me what you think, OK?

In-conclusion, until you read the entirety of the lawsuit and all of the exhibits. You're not qualified to pass judgement on my statement. Well, that's what Mom says anyways. She said, she thinks it's cute when you talk about subjects you have no actual knowledge of.

PS: You know where I went to school. You paid for it. You even know the name of the firm I work at. It's sooo cute when you act like this. It makes me HARD. Geez, where's Mom?

@1, @2, and @3, Governor Jay Inslee, Senator Kevin Ranker, Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson and so many of us: THANK YOU and DON'T BACK DOWN!
10
@7 Forget it, he's trolling.
12
@19, I guess you didn't read the lawsuit either.

With Trump in office and the ACE under his thumb. Their chances are better than when they first applied. The bad part is, they want to run 8 trains a day 365. Well, 8 in and 8 empties out. Each train will be 125 cars long. FUH, that's a lotta coal. Then store it on Pads. Like out in the open, etc. Unless I missed it, what does Longview think about the project?
13
Oops, @10
14
@12: Your statement is exactly why this batshit crazy level of criminal insanity must be fight and stopped---ASAP! The future of this planet and all of us depends on winning the war against the fossil fuel gluts and their Trumpreich allies.
15
@12: Nonetheless, I stand with Governor Jay Inslee, Senator Kevin Ranker and Public Lands Commissioner Hilary FRanz and so many others. Fuck you, Trumpists and Millenium--keep your dirty coal and toxic fracked Bakken crude out of our state!

Please wait...
